Loan billing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Customer statements should show all fees and transactions. Very hard to understand why 25.00 was taken from the top of a 300.00 dollar loan. I was only given 275. 00. At the time of payment is due, I had to pay 30.00 plus an additional 8.and change. A break-down of the bill would help to eliminate frustration from your customer and your poor customer service rep. These people should be a highly valued part of your team that is a highly stressful position. By breaking down your billing to your customer, it will eliminate the high-pressure to your customer service team. Thank you, Jeanne M Moses 209-445-****

They owe me money the Team Leader Nina said, "if I didn't already pay it they could have waved it". I told her "mail me a check".

I closed this account a year ago on March 19, 2020, and paid $3.48 the closed account fee and the $30.00 APR. A year later March 23, 2021, they are billing me $30 APR fee. I explained to several Agents I closed this account a year ago, but they all were rude, angry and mean and didn't care they want another $30 dollar APR and $3.00 to close the account again. I paid $33.00 and sent an email closed this account again. Furthermore, I spoke to a cashier at Check Cashing Place and she said, they do this all the time. The only reason I paid this is because I have excellent credit and I didn't want them to put a ding on it for $33.00.

I went to calif check cashing to get a loan...they said they got new loan for more money.and you can take up to your limit anytime you want...so they said. I can take 100 loan plus lil fee get the 100. And still if needed come back. And get say 200..plus fee..i go ok sounds good.. So when i got loan they said i got 500 credit. How much i need. I said 200.00. They write a check out for 210.00. I said ok. Not bad. 10.00. For 200.. At end of month it was time to pay loan..of 210.00. I thought. Of what i signed there check for... I hand girl 210.00 It says on receipt. I. Paid 190.09 Then a fee. For. 19.91 But. Paid. 210.00. Total After i got first loan i got a second loan for max left. 270.00 Now today since i paid off first loan i thought. Girl said my acct frozen do to no payment fee. Of 19.09. So i paid 19.09 got new loan of 200.00 Figuring check be 210..girl did 200 for 200... They never said anything about fees at calif check cashing.. On this new higher loan.. Sounds good if you can get loan up to your limit...at a normal fee. Or what ever check cashing makes out on the dam check... As far as i see it im dealing with calif check ...i dont know if loan company is loaning calif check cashing. Or if im getting loan from you guys... I get pay day loans from calif checking alot... Now with this new loan. Have a stright fee. Or charge not these hidden fees. Intrest. Surchage. Tax Fix the computer right... 1 question. If i took a loan out for 200. Check for 210.. I didnt pay. And let store cash. It comes out of my acct. Correct...now wheres the intrest or hidden fees Or. As i signed the check Calif cashed it already. Now that where you collect hidden funds. Please email me. How it works Rickledger28@***.com

TRYING TO SCAM ME WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF CHECKSMART

I was a customer of Checksmart for a couple years. Checksmart told me that they were switching me to Crestline. Checksmart did not tell me that I was buying a line of credit with Crestline and had to pay a monthly fee. I did not need a line of credit. I would not have agreed to it if I had known. I paid off the loan but they keep wanting more money. I told Crestline that I was not paying them one dime AND I told them that Checksmart was misrepresenting them. It looks like a lawsuit is in order for the continued harrassment.

Pay loan off

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Employees at the checks mart in Hilliard were very inefficient when explaining the " new" company now providing the loans i.e crestline finance. When calling to make payoff arrangements we were told of " payoff charges" that needed to be applied amounting in excess of $200 of the amount quoted in the initial visit when entering into the loan. I then called crestline financial to pay directly to a rep from the company and within less than 10 minutes of speaking with your rep my pay off payment amount changed 3 times, always increasing ofcourse. So yes I'm pissed and with the uninformed people and bs clauses in this agreement ( which I now understand why the paperwork was decreases to almost nothing that needed to be signed at loan time) I will be paying the loan in full on the next due date and will never return to your business as well as let my experience be shared as much as possible. Now is there anything I can do for you, or maybe you should get back to a class training your employees as well as being transparent in your business practices.

Scam Scam Scam!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Let's cut straight to it. I have used CheckSmart several times for small payday advance loans.

Very straightforward process. This time I visit, I am told things are different than the last time I was there but no details given other than "you have to open a line of credit." Okay? I provided my financial information (pay, bank account info, etc.). I was given a $500 line of credit.

Ok. I would like to borrow $400 of that. I asked how much the repayment would be. I was told $440.

Not too bad. I borrowed the money and repaid the following week. This is when things took a turn. I was called by CheckSmart and was told I had a payment that was due that day.

What payment? I paid my loan already. She said "your line of credit payment is due." Exactly what is that? It costs $160 JUST to open a line of credit that was NEVER told to me.

I never would've agreed to that. In addition to the $440, I owe another $160? She said it's more than that now because of interest. It was $160 if I paid at the time I opened my line of credit.

What!? A $400 loan, $440 repaid + $160 just to open it?? Yes! Things get even worse!

I now owed $180 something because the guy failed to mention it. This is how it works: When you open a line of credit, you owe $160 starting just to do so. Then you pay the interest on whatever you borrowed. You can pay $160 up front or $25/month for a year (a total of $300!!!).

Here's the catch...if you pay off the balance of your line credit, they close it and you can no longer borrow!! You are REQUIRED to keep a balance on your line of credit, on which interest is charged, just to be able to borrow in the future. You can keep it open for up to a year. After all of this scamming, it's still not over!

Whatever you borrow is given via a check! It used to be cash! I was told "if your bank doesn't cash it just bring it back and we'll take care of you." Guess what....they didn't. In fact, no bank in the area cashes these scammer's checks.

My bank cashes personal checks FFS. When I returned, they charged me $20 just to cash the damn check. Let's add this up....$160 to open, $40 interest on what I borrowed, $20 to cash THEIR check. That's $220 on a $400 loan.

I ended up paying about $280 on a $400 loan because I wasn't told about the $160 up front. If you want to borrow after closing your account, you have to pay another line of credit fee.

SCAM SCAM SCAM. Avoid at all costs.

Moses nailed it flat in 10 short sentences. Next time you borrow money read the entire contract.
